T&DF System Test Group

T&DF System Test Group meeting minutes (7/26/04)

Attending:

Jana, Susan, Larry, Gregg, Mark, Mike, Igor, Erick

Next meeting:

Monday, August 9, 2004 at 10AM.

1) Announcements for this week:

2) Upcoming/ongoing activity in the dataflow lab:

  • Testing of the ACD GASU has high (highest?) priority.

  • GASU production/testing will continue throughout the week.

  • Proto ISIS will be installed on the SIU test bench.

  • ES testing will proceed on the testbed with the help of the OSU folks.

  • FSW demo at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 30.

3) News (what everybody is working on):

  • GUI

Our test interface is finally ready for prime time! It is in CVS under ELX/GUI, so feel free to check it out and add your scripts to it. (TEM folks, this means you!) Some combination of Gregg, Amedeo, and Erick will try to add a power sequencing interface to the GUI. And I will try to get some documentation available for the GUI before the end of next week. How's that for ambitious?

  • Testbed

    • Gregg is checking out the cabling on the testbed, filling in the last of the missing cables.

    • Connectivity problem on EPU crate will be investigated.

    • Goal: to get event data out of the GASU. Gregg will talk to Mark to get some routines to look at events. Gregg will talk to Mike to better understand the TEM configuration which is a basis for understanding the TEM data.

  • TEM checkout through chamber; EICIT for GASU

  • Igor

Command/functional software tested on SIU. Test scripts written; single command sent between spacecraft and SIU. Would like more time on EPU/SIU. Time on this hardware will be difficult to get this week because Owen's ports are being installed, Dan Wood is in from NRL to learn how to work with a crate, and Jana is trying to upgrade/test new crate backplanes as they come in from the company. But next week is looking rosy.

  • Susan - welcome back from vacation

  • Mark - GASU testing continues...

    • Will continue to unit test GASUs as they come in. 2 more small boxes to go in this batch.

    • After August 3, we will get a full GASU box (waiting on 50-pin connectors).

    • Testing the science interface on the GASU

4) SIU/EPU crate update:

  • New v.3 backplanes are coming in every few days. These will replace the existing crate backplanes (v.1 and v.2).

  • Goal: To have at least 3 crates on the benches available for people to use by next week. Two on bench 1 (mostly dedicated to ISIS development) and one on Bench 3.

5) ISIS

  • The hardware is collected on bench 1, which is becoming the ISIS development corner.

  • Waiting on a handful of cables before full out testing begins.

  • ISIS FSW packages are being tested on the SIU crate on bench 1.

Thanks to Amedeo and Owen whose emails I purloined to write the blurbs about the new ports and LATTE4. Everyone is encouraged to use LATTE4 as much as possible, and to report all bugs/problems to Amedeo. As usual, thanks for all your hard work,

Jana
