TEM/TPS GLAT 1752

GLAT 1752

Use-as-is

All TCs for T/V test will be mechanically attached (no tape). see dispo #2.

IS: Thermocouples #2 and #5 are reading close to ambient temperature throughout first hot and cold cycle of GLAT 1752 T/V test
S.B.: Indicating actual temperatures of hot/cold plate (T.C. #2) and TEM/TPS base (T.C. #5) throughout +60 to -40 deg. C cycle

TEM/TPS GLAT 1752

GLAT 1752

Use-as-is

Adjust temperature controller program and setpoints and run several cycles over Feb. 12-13 and verify new setpoints will controll temp reliably.

Problem #1:
IS: Unexpected temperature drops during ramp from ambient to bakeout temperature (60C) (approx. 15 hours into T/V test) and during first +50 deg. C soak (approx. 25 hours into test) resulted in short term temperature recovery ramp rates at greater than 20 C per hour (see attachment 1, chart 1 and 2). Unexpected temp increase spike on last cold soak.
S.B.: Temperature ramp rates less than 20 deg. C per hour per test procedure LAT-DS-03536-03. Chamber controller to maintain temperature of TEM/TPS at 50 +/- 2 deg C for duration of hot soak and -35 +/- 2 deg C for duration of cold soak.

Problem#2:

IS: First cycle Cold soak temperature was -31.4 deg. C for limited and comprehensive performance testing
S.B.: -35 +/- 2 deg C for testing per LAT-TD-03536-03 (see attachment 1, chart 1 and 2)
