Online telecon notes for August 14,
2002
Attending:
- Zhigang Wang (UCSC/TKR)
- Connie Houchens (GSFC/ACD)
- Jim La (GSFC/ACD)
- Glen Unger (GSFC/ACD)
- Byron Leas (NRL/CAL)
- Mike Huffer (SLAC/ELX)

- Alicia Kavelaars (SLAC/I&T-SVAC)
- Selim Tuvi
(SLAC/I&T-Online), minutes author
- Core Online (Selim)
- Selim worked on the event capture for tracker by using Dan Wood's
event server and Byron's python code. He was able to duplicate the output that
Curt creates in his event walker. Byron suggested a Python package called
scipy that can improve performance when parsing event data from a string.
- Alicia completed the LabVIEW write capability for TEM, TKR and AEM
- Alicia is exploring the use of QT Designer for future GUI work
- ELX (Mike)
- TEM
- New TEM boards came back loaded
- Leonid conducted tests
- Curt will implement environmental monitoring in the libraries
- Regression testing in progress
- AEM
- Nothing new
- Jim received documentation
- Jim will talk to Gunther to determine what is needed
- Jim requests two additional VME crates along with hardware
- PSA
& Transition Board
- Work stalled
because of the ASICs testing
- Nothing new until TEM production is out of the door
- ACD (Connie)
- Received from Selim the modified LabVIEW vi that demonstrates
how to receive values from the VME crate, will check with Selim if she has more
problems.
- Connie has written SCL functions to convert engineering
values to the internal values
- CAL (Byron)
- Byron outlined a better mechanism for commanding and retrieving register
data from the hardware through decom.
- He is having problems
setting up one of the decom frame records. Selim will check and get back to
him.
- Selim will send the new
SCL VxWorks library to support record ids larger than 6000 (done)
- Selim will check and if
needed send the new libraries from Curt that fixes the dataless command bug
(done)
- Selim/Ric will check if
NRL received one or two COMM boards. They claim to have one and need two more.
- Assigned different record
space for ACD a(5000-5999) nd NRL (6000-) for decom frame records. Post-meeting
comment: Not sure if this is needed since they are in different databases
anyway
- TKR (Zhigang)
- Selim received e-mail from
Luca Latronico regarding the machines sent to Italy. They are still in customs
- He and Johann are trying
to compile the source from the distribution CD, Selim provided them with the
