-
Selim Tuvi (SLAC/I&T-Online), minutes author
-
Core Online (Selim, Alicia)
-
Selim continued work on the event
capture for tracker. The code was tested against the tracker hardware and
hippodraw was used to plot the results with success. More error checks may
be needed to handle the UDP transport. Byron asked the rate that events
were received. Selim estimates it is around 10 events/sec. Post-meeting
comment: This may be due to the slow commanding performance since the DAC
value was being set and a script was being executed to trigger each event.
-
Alicia commented on the new
LabVIEW browser VIs for CAL, AEM and TKR for reading and writing
registers. They will be included in the next EM1 release.
-
Alicia is working on the GLAT
configuration app in QT.
-
CAL (Byron)
-
Byron started work on speeding up commanding performance. He setup a 91
register decom frame
-
The problem he is having is the fact that he wanted to get the GCFE status
after each read and decomming doesn't have a way of returning this
information. So he is working on creating a set of RTDD status records and
do the read in a script and decommutate both the register values and the
status values. Downside of this is waste of storage since only 4 bits are
needed per status value.
-
Byron also added a flag at the end of the decom frame record to determine
when the decomming finishes on the NT side. But he is having
problems in reading this flag. Selim sent him a debug version of the
TelemetryClient that displays incoming packet data.
-
Parity bit issue. Curt implemented functions to manipulate the parity bit
that Byron needs. Need to discuss with Ric the best way to expose these
methods in SCL. Mike thinks this should be addressed sooner or later since
it is going to affect TKR & ACD as well.
-
-
TKR (Zhigang, Johann)
-
Shipment status and electronic readiness on the TEM board. .
- For tracker no shipment was scheduled before the end
of the year.
- Get together with tracker people and decide when and
how they need TEMs delivered. Talk with Dave and Mike
- Discuss with Roberto the necessities and what to
expect for March'03
-
SLAC visit from Pisa by middle of October
-
Johann will install the teststands tomorrow. Will check if they have
received any SBC boards.
-
Possibility of providing training to the summer student (Carmelo).
Discuss with Ric to setup a time table.
-
ZhiGang tested received and tested the new versions of the front end
chips using the comm card interface and python. SCL not used yet. The
chips tested OK.
- ELX (Mike)
- TEM
- TEM boards due from production next week
- Curt is reporting good progress on the test and
validation of the new features (environmental and new GTIC tkr trigger
masks)
- Mike is going to issue a new version of the TEM
document
-
AEM
-
PSA &
Transition Board
-
PSA will be ready soon.
-
Prototype for a PSA enclosure is in the works
-
Transition board work on hold because of the TEM work, new set of
cabling
-
No TEM boards go out without a transition board
- LCB
- Gunther hired 4 new EE to get boards fabricated
- To relieve pressure on Leonid a new engineer will be assigned to LCB
- Delivery will be delayed due to the new engineer roughly until
second week of September
-
ACD (Connie)
- Connie is working on the decom frame records, having
problems with the packet size, will check the record definition.
- In contact with Dave Sheppard for a test plan.
