2002

Pisa/TKR)
- Luca Baldini (INFN Pisa/TKR)

- Tony Waite (SLAC/FSW)

- Larry Wai (SLAC/I&T-IFCT)
- Selim Tuvi
(SLAC/I&T-Online)
- Ric Claus
(SLAC/I&T-Online), minutes author
Topics:
- Core (Selim, Ric)
- New
release (P00-10-00) has been posted
- Post
meeting note: Several bug fixes
have already been applied to the new release. Please check the Online downloads page regularly for
available updates.
- The installation procedure installs an
item in the Start->Programs menu called “GLAST I&T Online”. One can launch RunControl from here. Launching RunControl any other way,
e.g. from a command prompt, requires that you first do:
set
PATH=C:\Online\DLLs;%PATH%
set PYTHONPATH=C:\Online\DLLs;%PYTHONPATH%
to ensure that the proper
Qt dlls are used. This is not
needed if you have the Commercial version of Qt installed.
- Visualization tool issues (HippoDraw)
were not resolved in time for the release. Continue to use whatever you are using for now.
- RunControl tests can be run in standalone mode. In this mode, the current version of
Hippo can be used.
- The Qt Commercial License requisition
is finally in preparation and will be submitted to the Purchasing Department
shortly
- The PyQt Commercial License requisition
has been submitted to the Purchasing Department
- ELX (Mike)
- New release only supports TEM 2
- Production of Arch. 2a test stands started this morning
- First instance is in Curt’s hands. Second will be sent to Byron by the end of this week (will
be tested as much as possible).
Third will go to Larry for the EM Test. Fourth and fifth will go to SLAC TKR (Luca B.) and
I&T/Online.
- Luca L.: Could current
SLAC TKR test stand be shipped to Pisa when arch. 2a is given to Luca B.
q No, because the existing setup will be
upgraded to be the arch. 2a system for SLAC/TKR.
- The test jig will not be ready for inclusion in the Arch. 2a
distribution despite promises to the contrary
- Arch. 2a will not be fully tested due to lack of sufficient front
end electronics
- Luca L.: Mike should expect to get his set of MCMs from the
Teledyne production next weekish
- GASU and LCB will likely go into layout this week
- Boards expected early January
- 4 weeks to write the VHDL, debug the driver with the LCB
- Expect working prototype not before February
- Then need 6 weeks to two months for a production run
- Jim La: When will ACD receive EM-2 test
stand?
- Post meeting note: No EM-2 (multi-contributor) test
stands are scheduled for delivery to subsystems
- Presuming Jim meant Arch 2a: Date is
dependent on GASU completion, so the above indicates Aprilish time
frame, so, on schedule.
- Note that the AEM documents are still
expected to represent what will be implemented in the GASU. Will update these if Mike discovers
changes are necessary. The
pseudo-AEM as delivered to ACD is a high-fidelity representation of what
is expected to be in the GASU, with the exception that the GASU AEM will
be able to handle multiple FREE cards
- TKR (Luca B.)
- Got the first good data out of the test
setup at SLAC
- Did threshold scans, results in line with Robert Johnson's at
Santa Cruz.
- New Online release installed, problems with the TKR bias DAC
- Was able to use the GTIC counters without a problem
- Bug on the interface board fixed
- Planned tests with radioactive source
- Study noise as a function of time
- Will migrate the test scripts into the
RunControl framework
- CAL (Byron)
- Work on root put on hold
- Crash when linked with
boost python
- Fix for the short packets
problem
- Question about the schema
configuration tool
- Alicia is making good progress
on it
- Worked on functional
tests and documentation
- Larry will receive list
when it is approved by CAL
- Test requirements
document is not yet approved by CAL for distribution
- Selim: GGLT registers
should be set through the bit fields for now.
- Mike: Request quick verification
on the fix for the short packet problem since the fix will go into the
next ASIC submission in 4 or 5 days.
- ACD (Connie)
- Working on functional tests
- Preparing for the CDR dry run tomorrow
- Actual ACD CDR is Jan 7-8
- Ric: Received Bob Baker’s LabVIEW stuff. Should not be difficult to reproduce
using Qt
- IFCT (Larry)
- TKR charge injection
tests planned, working with Luca to get up to speed.
- Functional tests
