Workshop-4 and Worshop-5:

For MC please look at the MC Simulated Data page.

For DATA use the runs database

Workshop-3:

Data:

WARNING!

The three cosmic ray runs 140001338-140001340 taken with the full tower (TKR+CAL+TEM)

are test runs and may have problems. Known problems at this time:

    - Event ID in runs 1400001339 and 140001340 do not start at 0 at the beginning of the run.

    - Status, particle type etc are not correct in the Runs Database.

    - The trigger bits in the GltWord follow the old definition i.e. GltWord==4 means a tracker trigger.

Note that the workshop MC will have the new trigger bit definition in the Gltword!

The data runs have been reconstructed with GlastRelease v6r2p1 with the following additional tags:

    - CalDigi v1r6p2

    - CalRecon v5r22p2

    - CalUtil v2r0p2

    - CalXtalResponse v0r1p2

This extended release should thus have both the new TkrRecon and calibrated CAL.

The CAL calibration was FM104 where the pedestals have been regenerated to reflect the new TEM power supply.

Note that this release does not contain any Tkr calibration.

The digi files were produced by the pipeline. Because of this the trigger bits in the

GltWord follow the old convention i.e. GltWord==4 means a tracker trigger.

Note that currently both ends in the SVAC ntuple array CalXtalEne contain the average energy.

This is a feature of the CalRecon we used.

The data files including the Merit and SVAC ntuples can be found here.

MC:

There are two MC samples:

The original MC has been made with GlastRelease v6r2p1 with the following additional tags:

    - CalDigi v2r0p1

    - CalRecon v5r22p4

    - CalUtil v2r0p3

    - CalXtalResponse v2r2p3

Note that these tags are more recent than the ones used for processing the data. These tags

had to be used because of necessary bug fixes in the CAL code.

The CAL calibration was FM104 where the pedestals have been regenerated to reflect the new TEM power supply.

Note that this release does not contain any Tkr calibration. In particular, it does not have the

Tower A dead strips.

Note that the trigger bits in the GltWord follow the new definition i.e. GltWord==2 means a TKR trigger.

Note that currently both ends in the SVAC ntuple array CalXtalEne contain the average energy.

This is a feature of the CalRecon we used.

The TrgTriRowBits are not filled in the MC (neither in the digi root file, nor in the SVAC ntuple).

This is due to a bug in RootIo.

Both surface muons and all gamma MC have been generated.

The data files including the Merit and SVAC ntuples can be found here

New! March 9, 2005:

A new MC sample has been made with GlastRelease v6r2p8 with the following additional tags:

    - CalDigi v2r0p1

    - CalRecon v5r22p4

    - CalUtil v2r0p3

    - CalXtalResponse v2r2p3

    - RootIo  v14r7p1 (trigger three-in-a-row bits bug fix).

Note that these are the same CAL tags used in the original MC sample. This new release contains two new things:

    - We now use the Tower A online calibration files (including dead strips, but not including partially disconnected strips).

      The calibration files are here.

NB! These are online calibration files that do not include partially disconnected strips (about 800 in Tower A).

    - The trigger three-in-a-row bits are now correctly filled.

The CAL calibration was FM104 where the pedestals have been regenerated to reflect the new TEM power supply.

Both surface muons and all gamma MC have been generated.

The data files including the Merit and SVAC ntuples can be found here

Additional details can be found here.

Workshop 1 and 2:

New! September 24, 2004!

The MC has been regenerated with two changes:

- There is a minimum track energy of 2 GeV for the track reconstrcution.

- The SVAC ntuple now has:

            - Both CAL end energies: CalXtalEne[Tower][Layer][Col][End]

            - End-of-track parameters for the best two tracks:

                         - Tkr1EndPos[0-2]

                         - Tkr1EndDir[0-2]

                         - Tkr2EndPos[0-2]

                         - Tkr2EndDir[0-2]

 - The files are in the 'cr_minTkrEnergy' directory.

New! September 7, 2004!

Two bug fixes:

- Run 16 was accidentally generated with the run number set to 15. This has been fixed

and new merged Merit and SVAC ntuples have been made.

- Bug in Root made the merged digi root file 'surface_muons_4M_digi.root' corrupt.

It has now been regenerated in a different way and should be OK.

August 6, 2004!

EngineeringModel v3r0402p17:

- Has a bug fix for CalDigi and CalUtils discussed here.

- More detailed information can be found here.

- Surface muon files for Two Towers can be found here.

- Updated documentation of Merit (and AnalysisNtuple) variables can be found here.

June 21, 2004!

EngineeringModel v3r0402p9:

- Has a bug fix for the low energy problem.

- Above 1 GeV the spectrum is taken from PDG.

- Below 1 GeV the spectrum is assumed to be flat.

- More detailed information can be found here.

- Surface muon files for Two Towers can be found here.

EngineeringModel v1r0401p9 - used for the Workshop:

- MC with the following sub-directories:

    - One tower: 100 MeV photons and surface muons.

    - Two towers: VDG photons and surface muons

    - Scripts and macros

- Data_EM1 which contains files with trigger primitives.

More detailed information can be found here.
