Goals

  • Evaluate alignment precision as a function of available hits for each elements using MC.
  • Apply alignment on the BFEM data and find if it is consistent with the optical measurements.

Status

  • RootAnalysis procedure is understood.
  • BFEM geometry is understood.
  • Straight line fits are performed. Bad hit and track rejection criteria is being developed.

  • Fit results for cosmic ray proton MC.

     

    Fit result for BFEM data. Proper bad hit rejection will improve fits.

Plan

  • Jan 2002: understand the geometry of the BFEM, straight line fits on TKR hits.
  • Feb 2002: plot residuals in each plane, develop codes to obtain x and y shift of each element.
  • Mar 2002: develop codes to obtain shift and rotations of each elements.
  • Apr 2002: develop codes to obtain alignment constant for all elements.
