SVAC Status Report Jan 10, 2003

General

New hire - Requisition is ready and need to decide whether the job is for software developer or physicist. Would like to put requisition out by next week.

Students - Lost one (to IBM) and swapped the other one with Larry

Documentation - Drafts for all CDR documentation already exist. Shoot for final documents for end of February.

EM

Geometry - TKR changes will be documented this week. Mark (CAL) told us in the SAS meeting today they will try to review our geometry document LAT-TD-00582 by next week. 

Database -  TKR is 75% complete (access to info on latest calibration, history and details). Working on TOT implementation. CAL has not started we requested an hour to meet CAL during Feb software meeting to discuss queries and implementation.

Run Log -  Xin took the lead under Ric's guidance to evaluate BABAR and FNAL packages,

Data Format -  Heather (SAS) has that on top of priority list. Already managed to read some data into SAS infrastructure. Will start decoding TKR first. She believes we will be in time for the hardware test.

CU-LAT

Plan - working with Gary on CU Plans and configurations (hope to have a presentation next week)

MC - Xin generated some CU MC , we start to debug it for checking number of photons. Working with Hiro to prepare LAT geometry for alignment
