Likelihood

JC - Updated predicted number of events calculation for diffuse sources - had affected plotting only
AC - Fixed the problem with the 'badness of fit' calculation in likelihood - one of the subroutines for calculating gamma function had been throwing an exception - in these cases the feature is now disabled - no warnings

GRBs

DB - No news

Pulsar tools

MH - No audio

Obs Sim

JC - Problem with using log parabola in simulations - was using up a lot of memory - I've fixed it but not tested it extensively.

User interface infrastructure

No news

LAT data products

SD - [Soliloquy on open issues for LAT data products along the lines of what is linked to the agenda page.]

DB - As far as the GSSC is concerned, whether we have formal configuration control on the data products is not as big an issue as really making sure that we have something that accurately indicates what is being done in software - so we can implement our ingest system.  One issue with having discussions in Confluence is tracking the updates - round robin of e-mails can be an effective way of making sure that it is in front of your nose.  I think VRVS meetings might be more effective than face-to-face meetings - or at least as effective and easier.

Some of the outstanding issues start getting into requirements and long-term assumptions about what will be transferred - e.g., the GRB catalog - it is something the working group has been planning for and we may find is already embedded in requirements.

SD - So no definite date in mind for CCB?

DB - I'm not the person at the GSSC losing sleep over implementing an ingest system for a definite ground test.  I think we need a good working system for keyword specifications, etc. that we agree on.  We have had problems with changes of file formats.

JM - Is the list of data products that the ISOC put down to test in the GRTs posted somewhere publicly accessible?

DB - There's things to be tested, yes, and other products that need to be implemented in Browse.

JM - At the last SSC meeting it sounded like a list of products that was to be tested in the GRTs don't exist yet.

SD - Would establish small group - make a small working group to come up with definite proposals - post in Confluence for comment - then move on to JIRA.  Can't follow these all myself

DB - Will circulate your initial list to our people - need list of counterparts for the other data products.

SD - Will get back to you with 'volunteers'

JIRA open issues

SD - Trend of the number of open issues is in the right direction - one new issue opened and several closed since last meeting but still 35 open.  [See link on agenda page]

Wrap-up

SD - Next meeting probably will be in 2 weeks; 2 weeks after that many people will be at Stanford for the GLAST Symposium
DB - 2 weeks from now is the 17th - a one-day GLAST meeting here at Goddard - trying to bring in local scientists to drum up excitement about opportunities - many of us here will be involved with that meeting, so the 17th is probably not a good day for next meeting
SD - The 17th is probably out, then.  I'll have to work out something with Jean regarding scheduling of the next meeting.
