** Trigger simulation (see report on November 29, 2002)

figures are in the postscript file attached

1 GeV muons have been analyzed at 0 and 40 degrees in zenith and [0, 360] degrees in azimuth (uniform random distributed), by using several threshold 0.25, 0.30, 0.35, 0.40 0.45 and 0.5 mip.

The time over threshold with respect to the trigger time Tc has been evaluated at strip level (T2-Tc in the figures). The T2-Tc decreases as the threshold increases, and the efficiency degrades as the threshold increases. For examples, if the trigger signal could go back to the tracker in about 2 microseconds we have the following efficiencies (%):

th (mip)              zenith (deg)

              0                     40

0.25        99.9                    99.9

0.30        98.5                    96.0

0.35        98.2                    94.0

0.40        97.7                    92.4

0.45        96.3                    90.8

0.50        92.0                    89.5
