This page currently contains very basic information about Cyberdocs and the
LAT document control system. Additional information will continue to be added to
this page.
To Access CYBERDOCS you must
- 1) to add / edit documents you must have a SLAC NT account
- 2) be listed as a cyberdocs author
- 3) have access to the document web
NOTE: NT accounts are not required for "view
only" access to Cyberdocs . The "guest account
provides view only access to the system.
To View Externally linked CYBERDOCS documents
- 1) use Netscape version 4.51 or higher or Internet Explorer version
4.0 or higher.
- 2) browser "cookies" must be turned on.
- 3) Javascript should also be turned on.
To add documents to Cyberdocs
- get a document from the external
document number system. This is necessary because Cyberdocs document
number does not provide the type of number system used by LAT.
- access Cyberdocs via your NT account. Select new document from the left
menu selection frame.
- Step 3 -- fill out the required information
- Step 4 -- submit the document
- Step 5 -- browse for the document you are entering from the displayed
cyberdocs page and then "double click" it to enter it into the
displayed form, then submit.
- Step 6 -- upon completition of the upload, cyberdocs will display a
"profile form" containing all the information about the document
just entered into the system.

EXIT CYBERDOCS
- Exit Cyberdocs by logging out of the system. Log
out icon is found in the left menu frame. If you leave the cyberdocs system
open on your browse, the system will time out. Sometimes when this happens
it is difficult to immediately log back in.
To view documents
- Use Cyberdocs through your account or the "guest account"
- List all current documents from this web page:
- Search for a specific document by:
- List frequently requested document
To copy a document URL
- Go to one of the above search pages.
- Find the document you want
- Use the shortcut (Right mouse click on the link) to display information
about the link
- Copy the address url displayed in the pop up box
- Paste into you other file, email, etc.
Do not copy the URL of a displayed document. This url can change as new
versions of the document are added to the system.
