GLAST Calorimeter Software Weekly Report
Week of 19 April 2004

NRL

Sasha:  Looked at details of muon (EM) and proton (GSI) calibrations attempting to find a source of observed "anti-quenching" in GSI results

Andrey:  For this week I had taken a look at some web-posted material on the light-attenuation mapping for the CAL.  I am planning to finish my failure-modes writeup next week.

Mark:  Created proposed reorganization plan for CAL software.  Continued work on I&T testing and calibration document.  Worked on near-term tasks for NRL.

Thierry, Benoit: Little activity in the GSI analysis area: Benoit has looked into the "trigger problem" observed in run 46. The apparent event loss is very Z dependent, the loss for high-Z ions being the greater.  The problem is apparently gone for run 54 and beyond.

A meeting was held with our colleagues experts with the FRS to discuss the overall data features and define the best course of action.

GAM

Agnieszka and Eric: continuation of Z identificaton with EM alone - heavy ions study started

Frederic: started to check GSI runs data taken with "auto-range" and/or "zero-suppression" turned on.
