GLAST Calorimeter Software Weekly Report
Week of  25 October 2004

NRL

Sasha:  Most time spent analyzing data from FM101 thermal vac and other tests on FM 101-104 in order to produce preliminary energy scales and to further understand integral nonlinearity and thresholds as a function of temperature.

Zach:  Prepared calibration release package for FM101 I&T delivery.  Tested code, generated calibration, worked on documentation. Compiled release package.

Andrey:  Continued looking at direct deposit of energy in diodes using muons from EM test at SLAC.

Mark: Completed release docs for calibGenCAL v2r5.  Worked on trending analysis software.

LLR

Philippe is getting deeper into calrecon, and Pol is still on his way with the extension of the correlation method.

CENBG

Benoit, Thierry, Johan:

Thierry investigated the reason for the recurrent crash of Gleam with the new version of GEANT 6.2 for high energy protons.  We will seek the help of GEANT4 experts.

Johan compared the patterns of nuclear reactions measured at CERN for high-energy hadrons with the GEANT4 simulation results.  He will give a report at one of the next calsoft meetings.

Benoit had no calsoft activity, as he evaluated ScienceTools.

David:  Scanning CPT DVD's for FM's 101, 102, 103 sent by E. Grove & P. Sandora.

Excercising calibGenCAL <=> SAS database with FM muons.

GAM

Fred and EricSee presentation on MIP-finding work.  Preparations for trip to NRL.  At NRL, working on understanding CAL tests, writing code for trending analysis.
