Data Structures Task Force Meeting, July 5, 2002
Topics for discussion:
- What information should be saved to the TDS/PDS
at each stage of the analyis?
- What are the stages? Example (TKR for
concreteness):
- Initial particles
- McParticles and hits
- Digitization
- Clustering
- Remainder of TkrRecon
- Combining the subsystems
- "There should be enough information so
that the analysis can proceed without recourse to the geometry."
- Is this what we want?
- Is the criterion the same for the TDS
and the PDS?
- How about other services? (Bad/Hot
strip lists, strip efficiency, ToT calibration, orientation in
cosmic coordinates, etc., etc.)
- At what stage should this criterion be
applied?
- In particular, should McPostionHits
contain global coordinates, in addition to, or instead of, local
coordinates?
- What about "the" ntuple?
- How do we determine the content of the base
or standard ntuple?
- Where and when should it be calculated?
- How do users tailor the ntuple?
