Linux
See Public LINUX machines for a list of public machines for the unix flavours.
The unix systems have a shared AFS file system:
Unix: $GLASTROOT = /afs/slac.stanford.edu/g/glast/
The WNT has a public disk area:
WNT: $GLASTROOT = V:\Glast_Software
gl-ground and gl-flight groups control nfs user space
The glground group has gotten too big for its britches and had to be split into three (by alphabet): glgr-ah, glgr-im and glgr-nz.
g-glast and owner-g-glast control afs space
The main farm fileservers are now controlled by separate groups by function:

Use the "ypgroup" command for nfs
Passwords
We use the SCS tool called escrow to manage group passwords (do 'man escrow' on SLAC linux). We have set up a glast 'clique' and the glast account password 'secret' goes under the name unixglast.
escrow list -c glast
will show all the passwords. The account usage should be clear from the secret's name.
The clique is owned by Richard, who has to add new users to it. This will be kept to a small list for emergency access. SCS does not like group accounts.
