Recon Status

- Cal Moments Analysis
- New utility class in CalRecon: CalMomentsAnalysis
- Implements:
- The mass inertia analysis from Jay and Heather
- An iterative analysis which rejects outliers until remaining points
within tolerance
- Attempting to make "generic" in order to use in the Tracker Filter stage
- Still working on ~1% failure rate where "wrong" axis returned
- Events "long" axis is orthogonal to incident particle direction
- Still studying to understand problem...
- Cal MIP Finder Status
- Problems with event display and root IO (thanks Heather!!) have been
resolved
- Fred has updated the MIP finder in cvs and now has a version working
within in the CalRecon/Gleam system
- See pictures of MIP finding on background protons
here
- Fred now upgrading
- Replacing Minuit with a standalone fit
- Should run much faster
- Great simplification of the code
- Reworking CalMipTrack output class
- Use standard CalParams
- Modify output variables for new track parameter determination
- Need to study (quickly) and then incorporate some output into the ntuple
- Cal Energy Correction Tools
- Updated/New/Etc. correction tools from Paris
- Cal Shower Profile fitting
- Likelihood tools
- etc.
- Tools plugged into correction algorithm and output stored in
CalCorrToolResult
- Not in ntuple (should they be?)
- Need to study the various tools
- Develop scheme for choosing the "best" event energy for later
stages of recon
- Tracker Filter Step
- Moments style analysis on "TkrPoints" (3d points made from combining
adjacent layers)
- Working on same pathology observed above...
- Very useful step in analysis as it returns a point and axis in the tracker
to aid pat rec
- Might not be available by July 13
- Main Efforts before July 13 Cutoff
(who set this date anyway?)
- Continue to refine moments analysis primarily for Cal
- Cal Recon Root trees fully functional by July 13
- MIP finder incorporated into ntuple
- New Energy Correction Tools
- Into Recon Root Trees only?
- Incorporated into output ntuple as well?
