- Update of track fit
c2
- See the original presentation of the track fit "sea trials" by Bill
Atwood, given to the Analysis Group on August 12, 2002,
here.
- See update on "current" status from last thursday's software meeting
here.
- Recent: Have been doing a process of elimination search for the
"difference" between the current code and the code circa Summer 2002.
Currently focusing on "non-interacting" muons in the simulation (all muon
interactions have been turned off), and no propagator/MS error matrix in the
fit. This results in some very interesting distributions. Below is a summary
with 10 GeV non-interacting muons generated with cos(theta) ~ .7 and over
all angles in phi (note that in these tests energy doesn't matter). This
cos(theta) was chosen since it picks the area with the largest chi-square
discrepancy in Bill's current plots.
- Upper Left plot: Chi-square plot
- Upper Right plot: Chi-square vs number of hits on the track
- Middle Left plot: Chi-square vs cos(theta)
- Middle Right plot: Chi-square vs phi
- Lower Left plot: Chi-square vs x slope
- Lower Right plot: Chi-square vs y slope
- The above plots done with "standard" FIXED spatial errors and are
interesting, clearly the spatial error assignment (constant errors) is
wrong.
- See Leon presentation
on thursday
- An interesting event:
