Present: Heather, Joanne, Karl, Leon, Richard, Thomas, Toby
Core status: (Toby) See the Core status page. This week's data flow diagram has some new solid lines in the vicinity of TkrRecon and CalRecon. Other highlights include a discussion of the new package, userAlg, and, since the PDR work is going so well, a suggested list of infrastructure items we might turn our attention to.
Batch processing, etc.: (Karl) See these tables for results of some timing tests. For this first iteration no attempt was made to achieve a realistic mix of sources. Toby suggests looking at "chime" and especially "backgndmix".
This summary of work to be done for GLAST data management includes a graphical representation of the whole thing, no mean feat. Web interfaces to suitable parts of its functionality are in the works.
Should we use Remedy for bug tracking? This commercial product is already used at SLAC by Babar. Karl will be talking to SCS folk about it and invites comments or questions to be forwarded to them.
Generic XML geometry status: (Joanne) See this week's geoStatus notes; follow the link to the latest on identifiers to see why this subject is so messy.
Topics for next week's workshop: In addition to the obvious (PDR and balloon issues) will include items from Toby's what-to-do-next list, something on identifiers à la previous link, and use of xml for package parameters.
Miscellany:
Steve requests a review of flux generator distributions. There will be a discussion of this issue next Tuesday afternoon.
Michael Kuss, a postdoc from Pisa, will be arriving next week to work on balloon analysis.
New recon classes may need some enhancement so that quantities calculated in the past from reconstructed data will still be calculable.
