Present: Dario, Ian, Joanne, Karl, Leon, Riccardo, Sacha, Toby, Tracy
VCMT: (Toby) See Toby's Core Report for news about the latest release, VMCT v10. It has new features, such as a spawn button, as well as more "natural" behavior. Riccardo asked about the status of the project to build a Java-based gui for CMT, but the last anyone heard about it was when it came up towards the end of a Core meeting some weeks ago.
UW Terminal Service: (Toby) A new machine has been ordered with at least twice the capacity (in several respects) of the old.
detModel: (Riccardo) See Riccardo's description of recent work for details on detModel progress. New work in progress includes
identifier services design
tutorial on GDD and detModel being written
Event Display Initiative: (Riccardo) See the page cited above for a summary, or see Riccardo's page devoted to this topic, on which considerable progress has already been made. Both WIRED and ROOT are being investigated for the client display. In either case, there will be a server which must be integerated with Gaudi.
Identifier Dictionary: (Joanne) Some progress has been made, but nothing too exciting yet. Joanne will be out of town from the 14th through the 22nd.
Data/Release Managers: (Karl) In order to deal with CMT anomalies on Linux, Karl is investigating CMT v1r8. Although it has its own peculiarities, they are probably more tractable than those of v1r7 for this environment.
Who's doing what: We forgot about this again this week. In the meantime, see this table for activity on only those packages needed for the PDR.
