Present: Alex, Heather, Joanne, Karl, Leon, Michael, Richard, Toby, Tracy
Core Report: (Toby) See his report. There was additional discussion on a couple items:
(Joanne) Proposed new software home page. Would it be better to have some sort of index panel to the side? People need to try the page as it stands for a while to decide on this and other aspects of the design. The curious can look at the philosophy behind the current incarnation, including some design guidelines.
(Karl) The Build Manager output is close to its final form. It would be useful to chain together results from different builds forwards as well as backwards in time. Still need a sensible mother package so that the largest possible set of things will satisfy conditions for getting built by the Build Manager.
(Leon, Tracy) tkrApp finds pattern rec. tracks. Most likely only a small amount of work is left to get fitter working as well in the G4 simulation (units conversion, weeding out hard-coded constants,...) When it does, will tag.
(Richard) Working on CalDigi. Engendered a question: what about display of digis? Tracker has cluster display, which serves the same purpose. CAL might wait for reconstructed logs.
Window Installer: (Alex) The Microsoft Windows Installer is clumsy when dealing with a many-file installation like ours. Alex is investigating other products which might suit us better.
Tools for Flight: (Richard) JJ needs to use the simulation to generate sets of events in which he can specify background conditions, trigger parameters, etc., and produce output relatively close to what Flight actually sees. He wants to get going fairly soon (week or two) but has not yet assigned a Flight person to their part of the work. Probably they can start with pdrApp/usrAlg and switch to the new simulation when it's complete and stable.
Schedule: (Richard) Since the official schedule is much too rigid to keep up with reality, Richard will maintain an internal schedule so that we at least know where we are. First inference from the new schedule: we need to expedite the Heather-cloning process.
