PDR Pipeline: (Toby) See the Core status page for Toby's latest version of GLAST data flow. There have been several developments geared to PDR work. In particular, the whole chain through to merit is operational. Some sample merit output is included in the page.
To facilitate use and development of this pipeline, Toby has put together a new almost-checkout package, pdrApp. [It is not yet a true checkout package since checking it out will not cause everything it needs to be checked out, but was proposed that we make it one by having it use a (new) Gaudi checkout package.] The requirements file for the package sets the use_linkopts macro to restrict input to the linker to what is actually required at link time, rather than all dlls/shareables of all packages being used, a much larger set.
Merit can now handle Root file input from aoRecon. It will ultimately accept output from the new CalRecon, TkrRecon and AcdRecon as well.
The userShell box was a suggestion from Steve Ritz. It is intended to be a skeleton on which users may add their own algorithms, etc., for doing analysis in the Gaudi environment.
TBIOROOT: (Ian) There is still some question on the proper organization and division of functions between TBIOROOT and the Recon packages. It would be useful to have a meeting on this subject among the most interested, including at least Tracy, Sacha, Toby and Ian.
Generic XML geometry status: (Joanne) Riccardo & co. have already gotten the better part of a G4 client for the Generic Geometry built. See, e.g., this event in a 16-tower detector. See also this week's geoStatus notes for more details on this and other, more mundate matters.
