ScienceTools: Seth presented the report.
FSSC Report: (John) Getting ready for August. (Richard) has heard rumors about a line-mode client. (John) Some work has been done [by him] on such a thing which, so far, only can be used locally. He could use some guidance from users on how they would like the application to behave; has heard nothing so far.
Pass7 reprocessing: (Richard) See current status on the planning page.
(Leon) The plan is to remove variables from merit and also remove the code generating them. (Philippe) has strong reservations about making such a change, especially at this time. (Richard) would prefer that only those variables which could confuse CT's be removed for now. (Heather) Handling merit files with different columns is problematic; she would like to minimize that. (Leon) sees no difficulty in running a job at a later date to eliminate unused columns; would just read in the merit file and write out the slimmed-down version. (Richard) So Philippe carries the day: we will not do a comprehensive clean-up now.
Documentation: Chuck provided this report:
There have been a number of updates this past week, primarily to correct Pulsar Tools Help Files and miscellaneous updates discovered while I was researching pyLikelihood. These updates resulted in a new tag for the workbook; we're now at v6r13.With respect to pyLikelihood, I've started writing the combined tutorial and example pages, similar to that which we did for iLAT, though pyLikelihood is much more complicated (at least from my perspective). If all goes well, I hope to have this one under control by the end of this week and ready for review sometime next week, depending on the time required by the Newsletter.
On another front, Heather sent an email this morning regarding a Google search on glastpack that pulled up a really old web page (written by Thomas) as the first choice. I haven't had time to research the problem, but it may be due to some WB links to legacy documentation.
I do have quite a few follow-up items in my in-box, but pyLikelihood remains the no. 1 priority, at least until it's under control.
