ScienceTools: No one was available to present the report but you can read it on your own.
FSSC Report: (Eric) Working on v9r12; getting ready for August. (Heather) There is a new build of ROOT,5.20.00-gl2, which fixes a problem with Minuit2. It is not yet integrated into a ScienceTools release. (Eric) is aware; they are ingesting it.
Pass7 reprocessing:See details in Confluence.
(Tracy) Concerning CT's: GR v17r20 has everything except some very recentchanges from Carmelo. Bill was happy with its behavior except for a handful of no-CAL events, where results differed from his Insightful Minor implementation. There will be another tag of GlastClassify today, almost by definition: Tracy is leaving town tomorrow.
(Leon) A problem came up with the new all gammas: misclassification due to the fact that now there can be events with no tracks. Leon will fix (he's also leaving town tomorrow).
(Tom) Concerning missing recon files: Due to a data catalog query bug certain queries did not return the full list of files which would constitute the proper reply. There were 18 runs with this problem and a few other runs (out of 4000 total) with other problems. Their status may be viewed in Confluence.
ACD updates (Heather) has a list of tags from Eric Charles. She will make a branch off of GR v17r20 for testing. If all goes well, Eric will then make some more comprehensive updates.
Documentation: Chuck provided this report:
The most important update to the WB during this past week was the SLAC Public Workspace Announcement (re: additional 9 TB disk) to the LAT User Workbook, LAT Science Tools, LAT Science Analysis, and Instrument Analysis home pages. See for example the one on the Instrument Analysis page.Currently, I'm working on the Newsletter, and on pyLikelihood. We also have an issue re: depth of Google's indexing, which is including some outdated legacy pages from the old workbook.
And that's the news from WB world for today.
(Tom) Although the new public workspace is physically on nfs, it is important to use the afs path:
/afs/slac/g/glast/users/<username>
which is a link to nfs because the location in nfs may change if, forexample, a particular nfs disk fills up.
(Heather) has been making Studio 2008 builds for externals. cfitsio, cppunit and ape are done so far.
