Week-end run: (Toby, Heather) All event-generating runs are complete; some still need to be "pruned", which is done by running a semi-official (not yet in CVS) macro.
Some (at least) of the first output files had serious problems and were not readable. Using a later one with stand-alone ROOT, Toby saw a message claiming the file wasn't closed properly and additional "recover" messages. Heather thinks the latter may have to do with the recent memory-saving fix of resetting object ids. Heather will take a look at a file Bill has been using on the UW Terminal Server.
(Richard) The events were created with GlastRelease v3r0, but he then built the then-HEAD (on Friday evening) of AnalysisNtuple to make the tuples.
Tag Collector: (Navid, Toby) Leon tried to use it and ran into a problem. Navid believes he has fixed this problem, but no one has tried it since. Toby suggests it would be useful to have a log file (who did what and when) associated with the Tag Collector. Navid will look into it.
Windows versions: (Toby) The move to VC 7.0 is complete. VC 6.0 binaries will no longer be supplied. In particular, there is no VC 6.0 version of Geant 5.1. However VC 7.1 is already looming. There are changes to project and project-like files which necessitated changes to VCMT; this has been done. Toby is concerned about binary incompatibility. We have been able to use 6.0 binaries of our external libraries with 7.0, but the same appears not to be true in general for 7.1. CLHEP, for example, required a rebuild. Joanne will check out the Xerces mailing list for information about Xerces and 7.1.
