- MRStudio: (Riccardo) He has committed
a version to CVS with a gui. It doesn't yet do enough to be truly
useful (so far principally CVS functions like
checkout,
update and commit),
but it is enough for people to
get an idea of how it will look and give Riccardo some feedback,
particularly on the package tree, which is handled differently
from MRvcmt.
By default it operates in
command-line mode. To get the gui, give the command
MRStudio gui
The question of using MRStudio to supplant
glastpack came up.
Riccardo is not familiar with glastpack, but since
MRStudio command-line
mode does almost everything that
MRvcmt does, he believes it has all
the functionality of glastpack.
- OnboardFilter and Flight Software:
(Tracy) He has a version
which builds on Windows as well as Linux. All signs so far indicate
that it's fine and could be tagged for general use.
The Flight Software part is in external
libraries. They could be used by RM for Windows and Linux RHEL3 platforms.
Tracy has a build package to make the libraries on Windows.
JJ would prefer to be able to create the Windows version himself, but
that is unlikely to happen any time soon.
In order to get everything to build on Windows, some changes
had to be made to Flight Software code; JJ will go back and retrofit to
include these changes. Meanwhile, Flight Software has evolved;
Tracy's build is not of the most recent Flight Software release.
- OnboardFilter and Reproducibility:
(Toby) OBF output from full simulation is not entirely identical
to what you get starting from digis. This may be for the same reason
that (Zach claims) the trigger bits are not reproducible: not all of
the CAL information needed is saved in the ROOT digi file. However
the many OBF quantities Toby looked at were all bit-by-bit identical.
- Beamtest:
EVO note: (Joanne) It's difficult
to prove, but my reception seems choppier with EVO than with VRVS.
