- Beamtest status: (Francesco for Michael)
Latest version of the code runs without exception on simulated data.
For real data there are a couple remaining problems:
- AdcRecon fails because the electronics channel mapping for
cu06 is different than for LAT (id of one of the tiles makes it look
like a ribbon). This will be fixed by using an alternate map, to
be determined once everything is connected.
- There is a problem in ClassifyAlg. Probable solution is to not
run it.
(Francesco) He is currently working on a geometry issue.
Pipeline will be discussed at the
Beamtest meeting
later today.
(Heather) RootIo: Recon representation of ancillary data is
done; may need updates later. She will use AdfReader as a model to update
LdfConverter, ldfReader to get ancillary data from ldf input.
(Leon) FRED: There have been a couple problems in viewing events.
The first was due to a bug in the AcdRecon part of
HepRepSvc, now fixed. The other afffects only
certain large events. One work-around, which may not be ideal for all
circumstances, is to not read in MC.
Data
taking starts on July 27!
- DataServer ROOT backend:
(David) is working on a new
tool, known as the Skimmer, which
will combine the functions of Pruner and Peeler and then some. Goals
include greater flexibility and extensibility and also additional
formality (e.g. regression test) for code validation.
Basic functionality should be well in
hand by the time he leaves on vacation at the end of this week.
(Tom) This is being done in such a way that the front-end can evolve
gracefully to take advantage of new features.
- Windows RM: (Richard, Navid) SCS has
finished work on our Windows servers (now have better network connection
and rebuilt file server). Navid has turned Windows RM back on; we
should see improved performance.
