Present: Deepu, Eric, Heather, Joanne, Karl, Leon, Richard, Steve, Toby, Tracy
PDR Work: (Steve) Several improvements, etc., were discussed, such as a new cut on events which have one track headed for the gap between ACD and TKR; primarily eliminates albedo protons. Action items resulting from this report:
Steve will send Tracy his userAlg; Tracy will implement a new n-tuple
MC depth for background events (3?) is inadequate. They need to be regenerated. Karl has already investigated other values. Up to 20 is probably feasible (resulting file size is still tolerable). Steve would like a value of at least 10; 20 would be better.
SCS has just announced some reallocation of resources to accomodate Babar. We have to be sure to get our order in.
Be careful about exactly what version of pdrApp is used for this new run.
Core Report: (Toby) See Toby's status report.
CMT: (Toby) Release v1r10 (by convention should be stable) of CMT, which was ostensibly imminent last week, has yet to be released.
Saving Releases: (Richard) SCS has given us several AFS partitions which we will start using for our releases (much better than trying to share NFS space with our CVS repository).
New Recruits: (Richard) Our new scientific programmer Alex will start next week. Deepu, one of our new masters students, is listening in and introduced herself. Welcome, Deepu!
detModel News: Riccardo's refactoring is pretty much done; work that remains probably won't affect the visitor interface. Joanne has exercised the new stuff somewhat via the VRML visitor and it looks fine.
G4 Progress: (Heather, Karl) Heather has built Windows binaries using cygwin; the goal is to produce a set of binaries which can be exported. Karl knows where to find G4 binaries for Linux on the SLAC public machines.
Workshop Agenda: See tentative schedule, etc., here.
Thanks: ..to Google. The cheerful orange guy at the top was snipped out of their holiday logo.
