Will need to make some time for Tune to make a case for a Fast MC which simulates rocking of the instrument (and more generally, orientation), particularly as it affects time-varying backgrounds and how we analyze variable sources. However one should look carefully at priorities: we probaby don't need such a thing for some time (couple years?).
At least some implementation choices are likely to be discussed, such as use of a Beowolf cluster.
Missing albedo photons: Tune was wondering why they're not in the background mix. They are, actually, but for some studies Steve explicitly excluded them.
Down on the farm: (Richard) Reran 1 million photons and 50 million background events without Karl, who was away for the weekend. Basically the system worked; in particular we got ample resources from SCS just running in the extra-long queue. A couple action items resulted from this experience:
Core complaints: Richard has solicited them for discussion at next week's workshop and has collated the responses so far.
News from France: The recent PDR there went smoothly.
