With so many key players absent, the meeting this week was short. It is unlikely we'll have a meeting at all next week; stay tuned.
ScienceTools: (Jim) There will be a new tag of ScienceTools towards the end of next week.
Systests: (Liz) Project to convert to running under rhel4 has been languishing; she hopes to finish it off next week.
RM (Navid) No visible progress in maintainer fixes for 64-bit builds. (Heather) believes ST is fully supported by the new RM except for a couple Windows issues: builds are vc71 compiler rather than vc90 and RM is only making LATEST Windows builds, not HEAD or release tags. (Navid) That's correct. Old reasons for restricting Windows builds to LATEST have been addressed; could turn on the others now.
ASP and SCons (Joanne) Jim turned up three problems with the SCons build of ASP she had made:
facilities::commonUtilities
needs enhancements to handle installations
with both base and supersede directories.GR and SCons (Joanne) took care of one of the issues concerning package conversion from last week. GlastClassify is now converted. Information gleaned from Changelogs indicates that the simplest solution to the calibGenTKR, calibTkrUtil problem may break CMT builds. No progress this week on the third outstanding issue (obf external reorganization).
(Heather) is continuing to work on Gaudi for vc90. The newer version of Gaudi has significant interface changes in the general area of conversion services, but probably not affecting CalibSvc [hallelujah! ed.].
