Present: Ursula Berthon, Joanne Bogart, Toby Burnett, James Chiang, Seth Digel, Richard Dubois, Berrie Giebels, Navid Golpayegani, Traudl Hansl-Kozanecka, Heather Kelly, Matt Langston, Michael Kuss, Sean Robinson, Leon Rochester, Alex Schlessinger, Tracy Usher
DC1: (Richard) See a list, hot off the presses, of all the necessary pieces and their status. Tasks for today include making a new tag of GlastRelease and settling on sources for a run to begin tonight. Also in the extremely near-term we need to:
find and fix build (primarily link) problems of ScienceTools on Windows [Matt has volunteered to sort this out] then make a ScienceTools tag.
(Toby) verify whether or not the code meant to duplicate Bill's Insightful Miner decision tree analysis is doing the job, and if not, fix it
Johann is going to add a flag to L1 output, summarizing the results of the Rome analysis, indicating whether the event is usable (or not) for calculating instrument response functions. [See Seth's Status of Science Tools for DC1 for details.]
We'll start by creating one day's worth of data. Then, if possible, we'll do another 6 days. Whether this is feasible will depend on how much help we get from the optimizated build (Heather has managed to make one),and on the effect of the planned lowering of cut-offs from 30 to 20 MeV.
By Friday, if all goes well, we'll be burning CD's including code, documentation and data. Will the identical CD work on both Linux and Windows? Could be that the different end-of-line conventions will make source difficult to read, but should not affect compilation. We expect to distribute the CD-burning among several volunteers, preferably representing both OSs.
Data Challenge Workshop: A preliminary agenda has been set. The free Marguerite shuttle can be used to get back and forth between SLAC and the meeting room (Cyprus Room, upstairs in the Tresidder Union on campus).
EngineeringModel: (Heather) There is a new tag for this check-out package, v1r030302p6. She has built it in SLAC nfs space (ask her for details if you want to use this pre-built version). There is a new EBF library available from Online; we should upgrade to use it soon.
Calibration: (Joanne) Some AFS space has been obtained at SLAC for production Engineering Model calibrations, /afs/slac.stanford.edu/g/glast/ground/EMCalibData (same as $EMcalibroot if you use our group.cshrc). In a day or so CAL and TKR files will be there and properly registered in the MySQL database [done.].
Event conversion: (Ursula) She is about to test a version of the code which is able to convert one object each from mc data, digi data and recon data. This exercises a substantial chunk, but not everything, that will be needed for the complete conversion service.
