Linux setup at SLAC

Objective: a standard configuration, with pre-build release, to allow analysis, further development. User  would use the environment variable  CMTPATH to choose a particular release. (Perhaps a script could give a menu of options.)

[Status: I've started release builds at /nfs/slac/g/glast/ground/releases: currently one finds

GaudiSys_v7
gismosys_v5r1
gismosys_v5r2
gismosys_v5r4
pdrApp_v6r4

Except for the Gaudi packages, there are many compilation warning messages. See the minutes for a discussion.]

automatic build facilities for unix, Windows

Objective: give non-linux developers an easy way to test packages against a standard build.

Status: no change. See previous status for discussion.

Post-PDR development

Since code for the PDR is frozen except for required updates, so new development, especially Bill Atwood's very promising RCParticle class, is being done under a new (old) checkout package: glastsim.

New CMT:. Testing the latest v1r9 version, looks OK so far. Main reason: to get the better checkout scheme.
