- Mark,
- Much more appropriate response. I also agree with adding this to
the Project Risk List. My biggest concern is not necessarily the bulk
stresses of the grid--> it is pretty beefy. Rather, it is the
interface stresses for the Radiator, Tracker, Calorimeter, ACD, etc.

- Attached is an updated RFA response to LAT CDR #10, based on your
comments.
-
- I also wanted to let you know that we have recently added this to our
Project Risk list which is statused every 2 weeks. One of our
mitigations is to compare the grid tensile data from the samples cut from
each billet. The sample from billet #1 was taken after the
straightening was performed. We have received the tensile data from
the first billet and will receive the data for the second billet in a
couple of weeks. The data for the first billet meets the minimum ASM
properties for T6.
-
- Please let me know if this addresses your concerns.
-
- Thanks,
- Mark

- Mark,
- My comments can be found in the attachments. In short, I believe
some more information concerning risk should be added to CDR #10 response
if qualification of the Grid structure is to occur on a "spare"
Grid. CDR responses #'s 11 and 15 are acceptable.
- Please let me know if you have any questions.

- Jim,
- Attached are 3 responses to RFAs you wrote at the GLAST LAT
CDR. Mark Goans, the Code 300 Review chair, has asked that all
Project approved RFA responses be reviewed and approved by the
originators prior to official submittal to him.
- Please review the attached responses and let me know if they
satisfactorily close the RFAs you generated. You can provide your
approval or comments back to me and I will distribute them to the
appropriate GLAST Project personnel.
- Responses are attached for the following RFAs:
- GLAST LAT CDR # 10, 11, 15
- Thank you for your review and response,
- Mark
