unsigned CALmap::layerID (  LATtypeId  ebfId, unsigned  source )  const [inline, virtual]

This method provides an opportunity to remap the layer number. This could be done based on a EBF format version number. Layer ID runs from 0 to 7 and indicates which layer was hit in the LAT coordinate system. Remap is necessary if the correspondance between gccc and physical location changes Parameters: ebfId  - The EBF format typeId (version number) source  - The source layer in electronics space Returns: The mapped layer number
