Introduction

The Geant4 (G4) team has created a geometry model of the BFEM instrument. 

Output

The G4 BFEM simulations produce their own ASCII output.  This output is then converted into IRF (instrument response file) via PERL scripts.  Details of the IRF format for the G4 simulations is available here.

The IRF file are provided as input to ROOTWriter, for conversion into Monte Carlo and Digi ROOT files.  The Digi ROOT file is then input into bfemApp for reconstruction processing.

Running Reconstruction

The bfemApp package is available for running reconstruction on the Digi ROOT files.  The produces a Recon ROOT file as well as a summary ROOT ntuple.
