Core Report: (Toby) See details in his report.
tkrApp v1r2 (Tracy) This checkout package for TkrRecon now can be checked out and built successfully on Leon's pc and also in Brandon's environment at Santa Cruz.Toby has made changes aimed at getting it compatible with CMT v1r10. (Alex) There is still work to be done for Linux: some routine code changes to get successful compilation and some solution for the problem that other required packages are not getting automatically built.
CMT v1r10 - Terminal Server is still at v1r7 (since everyone using the TS gets the same release, moves there have to be done cautiously). Requirements files are being updated to work with either version.
gcc - target is now 2.95.2. Our code builds or can be made to build with 3.0.2, but not Gaudi (old or new). Even making Gaudi external won't help since Gaudi headers are still included in our code and will not all compile with 3.0.2.
(Heather) Work to convert to Gaudi v9r0 is close to done! Event Converter service changes are complete; some work on Event Selector remains.
(Joanne) The apparently-straightforward task of converting IFile calls (to fetch parameters from instrument.xml) to detModel/flight.xml led to a goal of linking all or almost all utility packages into shareables.
Documentation Task Force: (Heather). Here are the complete minutes. These days we're primarily concerned with the upcoming TkrRecon code documentation review and our web recommendations. We've added some simple web page templates for use in each web server environment (FrontPage/Windows or Apache on unix).
Release Manager: (Karl) The package-testing component of the Release Manager is documented and ready to go. Other components of the Release Manager are almost as far along.
VCMT Internals: (Alex, Karl) They propose replacing the current implementation of VCMT internals (not GUI) with something written in a portable scripting language such as Perl so that the same engine could be used on all platforms. This would benefit the Release Manager as well as interactive users. (A gui for unix could someday be added, but this is not a high-priority item.)
CDR: (Richard) Scheduling of the CDR is on the agenda for this week's Project Management meeting.
Data Structures: (Leon) The discussion of possible MC classes is still ongoing. Next week, when most of the principal participants will be at SLAC, could provide a good opportunity for a resolution. The System Architect will ultimately be responsible for making a decision.
Keeping Users Happy: (Heather) The impending changes to TkrRecon data structures will impact users. Steve Ritz made the point that, at the very least, such changes should be documented by the time the code is released.
