Present: Dario, Heather, Ian, Joanne, Richard, Thomas, Toby, Traudl
Digi Classes: Heather is happy with the current proposal for ACD digi classes.
Gaudi Developments: There is still some strangeness requiring different handling on Windows NT and Windows 2000 for Gaudi 6.
Thomas continues to work on getting Gaudi (5) to build and run on Linux. Most of it builds properly on the norics (Redhat 6.2), but not some of our own code like GlastSvc. This package does build on SLDL2 (Redhat 6.0), but there are other, probably irrelevant, problems having to do with Xerces on that platform.
See also Thomas's new instructions for installing CalRecon.
Generic XML Geometry: Joanne spoke about the use of generic XML description for LCD, referring to the XML description of the LCD large detector and some of the code which interprets it. She proposed that GLAST use a modestly modified version of the more sophisticated scheme, AGDD, written for ATLAS. See a sample XML file describing the ACD and some discussion of how it might be written and interpreted.
