June 2002 Ground Software Workshop

LAT Science Analysis Tools

Where:  SLAC

When:  Wednesday, June 12 – Friday, June 14, 2002

Purpose of the meeting: 

·        Review definition of the LAT/SSC standard analysis environment

·        Review of requirements, organization, and schedule for development of science tools

·        Adoption of software development standards, including for documentation and testing

·        Begin discussion of algorithms, processing, and database issues

Meeting information

The plenary sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will take place in the Redwood C&D rooms in the new Research Office Building at SLAC.  On Friday the plenary session will take place in the Panofsky Auditorium.  Plenary sessions will be broadcast via VRVS in the Mars room.

Currently-planned topics for the breakout sessions on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning are listed below.  Each session will include reviews of requirements, the provisional schedule for designing, implementing, and testing, and FTE requirements, all for reporting back in plenary session on Friday afternoon. 

The fee for the workshop will be $25.  It will be payable in cash at the start of the meeting.  Refreshments will be outside Redwood C&D on Wednesday and Thursday, and outside the Orange Room on Friday.  Lunches are your responsibility.  The SLAC cafeteria is open for lunch from 11:30-13:30.
